How will my plans be delivered?

Your finished plans are delivered as a permit-ready PDF by email — ready to submit directly to your building department. There's no waiting for a physical package; everything arrives digitally.

What you receive

You get a complete, coordinated MEP plan set covering the disciplines you ordered. A full set includes labeled sheets — mechanical (M-1, M-2), electrical (E-1, E-2), and plumbing (P-1, P-2) — with equipment schedules, load and heat load calculations, required code notations, and a cover sheet referencing the applicable California codes. If you added a Title 24 report, the energy compliance documentation is coordinated with the plans so the two agree, which heads off one of the most common sources of plan check corrections.

Why PDF, and how to submit it

PDF is the format California building departments expect. The deliverable is formatted for permit submittal and works with the electronic plan review portals California cities use (such as ePlanLA and similar systems), and it can be printed at any large-format print shop if your jurisdiction requires physical sheets. In short, the same file works whether your city accepts digital uploads or asks for printed plans.

What happens after delivery

• Submit to your building department — upload or print the PDF and file it with the rest of your permit application (architectural, structural, and Title 24 documents).
• Two revisions included — if you need adjustments after reviewing the plans, two revisions come with your order.
• City corrections included — if plan check returns corrections related to our MEP plans, we revise and resubmit at no additional charge until the permit is issued.

A few practical notes

1. Delivery goes to the email address you entered at checkout, so make sure it's correct — the order form asks you to confirm it twice for this reason.
2. Check your spam or promotions folder if you don't see the delivery email, and add orders@mepplansusa.com to your contacts.
3. Keep the original PDF; it's the file you'll resubmit if the city requests any changes.
