Can I email my plans later?

Yes. You can upload your files at checkout, or simply email them to orders@mepplansusa.com after you order. Your order is not delayed for choosing to send files later — the turnaround clock starts when we receive your complete plans and project details, however you get them to us.

Two ways to send your files

  • Upload at checkout. The most direct path — attach your architectural floor plan, site plan, and elevations as you place the order so everything arrives together.
  • Email afterward. If your files aren't handy at the moment of checkout, complete your order anyway and email them to orders@mepplansusa.com whenever they're ready. This is perfectly normal and common, especially when an architect is still finalizing the set.

How the turnaround clock actually works

This is the key reassurance: your turnaround does not begin counting the instant you pay. It begins once we have everything we need to start — your complete architectural plans and your project details. So whether you upload at checkout or email a day or two later, you lose no production time as long as you get the files to us. The Standard 5 business days, Priority 3 business days, or Express 1–2 business days all measure from that starting point.

Why this flexibility helps

Many ADU projects are still in motion when an owner is ready to commit. Your architect may be finalizing the set, you may be waiting on a revised floor plan, or you may simply not have the files in front of you the moment you sit down to order. Letting you email plans afterward means you can secure your plan choice, size tier, turnaround, and price first — then send drawings on your own schedule without losing your place or paying more. Contractors and designers managing several projects at once find this especially convenient, since they can place the order and forward the architectural set from the client separately.

Tips for emailing your plans

  1. Use the same email address and name you entered at checkout, or reference your project address, so we can match the files to your order quickly.
  2. Send PDF or common CAD formats — a combined architectural PDF is ideal.
  3. Include the full set in one message where possible (floor plan, site plan, elevations) so nothing is missing when we begin.
  4. Mention any special requirements — panel upgrade, EV charger, all-electric design, or city correction comments — if you didn't already note them in the scope-of-work field.
